Episode 101: The Pop-A-Shot Championship

Click here to listen to Episode 101

This week, we celebrate last week's 100th Episode with a live segment at Dave and Busters.  We talk briefly with Tobin Shepherd about the Ohio State sanctions, and then...the highlight of the episode.

The official Scooterb and JJ Pop-A-Shot Championship.  You don't want to miss Tobin's commentary.

After that, we retreat back to the studio and talk about a lot of topics.

We start with more on the Ohio State rulings.  We move on to a weird story about NCAA greed and the bands of LSU and Alabama.  We then break down the Gator Bowl just a bit, before segueing (sort of) into ranting more about the Bluejackets.

We round up the show with some Tebow Time, the Bengals and Big Ten Basketball talk...

BUT THERE'S EVEN MORE!  We have BREAKING NFL NEWS during the episode.  You don't want to miss this.

Thanks for listening.

Episode 100: We made it!

Episode 100: Click here to listen!

Well, we made it!  And how do we celebrate?  By doing a pretty normal show.  Note: this was recorded Monday night, so there is nothing about the NCAA's ruling about the Buckeyes in this episode.

What you will hear is some ranting about the Bluejackets, and fans in the press box.  You'll hear BOLD NBA PREDICTIONS!  You'll hear me actually congratulating some football teams.  And more of our usual nonsense!

We really appreciate both of you that listen...

Here's to at least 5-10 more shows!

Welcome back everybody, and we do indeed have breaking news... Carmelo Anthony is now a New York Knickerbocker!

We dig deep into what this means for the Knicks, the Nuggets, the Nets, Spike Lee, and the NBA as a whole.

We then talk college basketball with another OSU basketball loss, and we look at the Big 10s prospects for the Big Dance.

We then talk a little Bluejacket hockey, with their plans for the quickly upcoming trade deadline. We also discuss the long, sad saga of Sheldon Souray.

We finish the show with the sobering story of Dave Duerson. And what his death may mean to the NFL moving forward.

We hope you enjoy the show. As a side note, welcome back to Sportscenter Stuart Scott. He's been battling cancer as of late. A hearty Booyah! to you.

Episode 56: Fell in Love With Sports

Welcome back everybody, hope you had a great Valentine's Day.

This week we talk a bit about the Ohio State men's basketball team's first loss of the season.

But our main focus is hockey. We've seen a great run by the Blue Jackets, a very brief return to the sport by one legend, and a threat to leave the sport by another.

We then talk about the Miracle In the Q...aka the Cavs finally winning a game.

We wrap up the show with discussion about the impending Albert Pujols mess, and we ask... is he worth it?

Fun show, lots of interesting topics. Hope you enjoy it.

Episode 53: It's our Anniversary, but there's no time to party!

Welcome back!

This week we could stop and talk about the last year of podcasts, but that would ignore the completely great week of sports we just had!

We talk about the NFL conference championship games, controversy in Cincy, the Ohio State basketball team, and the continuing drama with Carmelo Anthony in Denver.

We hope you enjoy the show, and thanks to those that have listened over the past year!

Episode 52: No Way But the Hard Way

Welcome back everybody!

This week, we welcome Columbus Wired's Columbus Blue Jackets beat writer Dave Seaman to the conversation, to go in depth into what is ailing our beloved, but struggling Columbus Blue Jackets.

After that, Justin and I talk about the #1 ranked Ohio State men's basketball team (yes, they play other sports there).

We then do some quick hits about Joey Votto's new contract, the NFL playoffs, and Brett Favre retiring...again.

Fun show, especially if you are interested in the Bluejackets.

Also, for even more Bluejackets fun, come live chat with other Bluejacket fans during the game Tuesday Jan. 18 at 7:15 PM. I've been in the last 2 chats, and it's a lot of fun.

Talk to you later.

Episode 50: Drive to the Sugar Bowl

Welcome back everybody!

This week, it's football, football, football, with some basketball mixed in.

We spend a lot of time in college football debating the horrible Big Ten New Year's Day Massacre and a new controversy surrounding the Ohio State Buckeyes.

We then go to the NFL to discuss the early fallout of "Black Monday" and we briefly look at the wild card round of the playoffs.

We then wrap up the show with the UConn women's basketball streak being snapped and sadness in Cleveland...again.
