We're back this week with an in depth discussion of "Tattoogate" which has rocked the Ohio State campus this week.
We then briefly talk about how snow is messing up the Minnesota Vikings season.
We then finish up with talk about the upcoming NHL TV contract, and how the NHL stands to make a lot of money.
Very fun time this week, with special guest Casey Todt.

Week 48: It Takes Two
Welcome back everybody!
We return this week with the return of Brett Favre (for a few minutes at least). A lot of NFL talk with the battle of Ohio (aka who gets to draft first) and Mike Vick's remarkable comeback against the Giants.
We then head to the ice with an in-depth look at a controversial week in the Bluejackets camp.
We finish up with some basketball, the OSU men look strong, and the Cavs...well, they finally won again!

Week 47: The End of the Road
Welcome back everybody!
We have a lot to go over this week. Starting with the breaking news that Brett Favre's consecutive start streak is over at 297 games. Even with the extra day the Metrodome's roof collapse gave him.
And what does that collapse mean for the future of the Vikings?
We then talk about the phasing out of our beloved Boomer mascot, the Big Ten's new logo and name, OSU basketball, Cavs basketball, and the war over Cliff Lee.
Literally as the episode was uploading, rumors started to break that Cliff Lee was going to sign with the Phillies. Unconfirmed as of now, but we shall see.
*EDIT* Literally as I was posting this entry, Cliff Lee is now confirmed to be with the Phillies.

Week 46: Let's Go Bowling!
We return tonight with a more normal (normal??) episode.
This week we cover the College Football bowl lineup, some friction in Yankees land, Ohio State basketball, and Pensgate at the Bluejackets game.
We have our friend Casey Todt in...it's worth it just to hear his reaction to seeing "Boomer" for the first time.

Special: Comebacks and Conspiracies
We come to you tonight with a very special episode of Scooterb and JJ on Sports. A couple stories cropped up after the show on Monday that we felt were worth devoting some more time to, so we did.
Tonight, we talk at length about the controversial return of LeBron James to Cleveland.
We then get a little crazy, talking about several stories that all have a hint of conspiracy to them (at least I think so...JJ isn't so sure.) To be specific, we talk about the sudden Cam Newton announcement, the lack of suspensions in the Andre Johnson / Courtland Finnegan fight, some harsh words by two NFL players, and a curious local story about the BCS.
We hope you enjoy this bonus episode, and we especially hope you will be back with us on Monday for our regular show.

Week 45: Seven Nation...wait, didn't we do that already?
Welcome back everybody!
First off, I promise...last Seven Nation Army version for a long, long time.
This week we bring in Mike Smail for a packed weekend to talk about.
We, of course, recap a hectic day in Black Friday shopping, we go over the OSU / Michigan game, we then cover the BCS madness...which has reached critical mass at this point.
We then wander through the world of new jerseys for both for Ohio State and for the Bluejackets (we also talk about the Bluejackets new..."mascot"), LeBron coming back to Cleveland, we (and by we, I mean I) even talk about the Grey Cup. Lots more as well.
Thanks for listening.

Week 43: 24 Hour Party People
Hey everybody,
It's been a wild weekend, not just on the fields and courts...but in the real world as well. You'll hear a bit about that in the show though.
We talk at length about Ohio State, the BCS and the Cam Newton controversy. And how in an odd way Cam Newton could help bring down the BCS as a whole.
We then look at the NFL. We start talking about the Browns, but then we get into the general state of the game.
We finish up with a look ahead at college basketball season...which can't get here fast enough.
As always, thanks for listening. Last week I asked you to tell a friend...this week, tell an enemy about the show!

Week 42: Joe Pa, the NFL, and Everything
Hey there everybody,
This week we talk about Joe Paterno's 400th win, one of the wildest games ever, and several other college football topics.
We then discuss a crazy weekend in the NFL (I mean...the Browns won...that's not normal to start), and round out the show with a look at the week in Bluejackets hockey.
We appreciate you listening, tell a friend. They might like us too!

Week 41: Party in San Francisco!
Welcome back everyone for an absolutely STUFFED episode!
We welcome back Casey Todt to the show for some interesting insights on several of our stories this week.
We briefly (and I do mean briefly) discuss the Ohio State crushing of the week, before spending a few minutes talking about this year's World Series. Won this year by the San Francisco Giants in convincing fashion.
We then talk about the difficult week surrounding the Notre Dame campus this past week.
After that, we go into the BCS madness...before moving to the NFL, and talking about the even crazier madness surrounding the Minnesota Vikings in the past few days (if I may toot my own horn...listen to this part for the conspiracy theories alone).
We round out the show by talking about the start of the Cavaliers season, and the last week in Bluejackets hockey.
Like I said, this show is jam packed, we hope you enjoy.

Week 40: As the weather cools down, the sports heat up!
Welcome back everybody, we have an extremely full show this week!
We start with our usual Ohio State wrapup, and complaining about the BCS.
We follow that up with talk about the Browns shocking win against the New Orleans Saints, as well as some other NFL talk.
We then follow up with a few quick hits in the NBA, NHL, and the MLB. We even toss a little MLS into the mix.
This looks less like a sports show, and more like a bunch of bad Scrabble hands.
Thanks for listening, and enjoy the show!

Week 39: The BCS has one too many letters in its name
Hey howdy everybody!
Another packed show that starts with another #1 college football team going down in flames. Leading to the first BCS poll...which, as usual, makes absolutely no sense.
We then discuss the return of Ben Roethlisberger, an amazing goal in the MLS, and ... believe it or not... the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Interesting show this week, thanks for listening.

Week 38: OMGWTFBBQ
Welcome back everybody!
This week we talk about some early BCS projections...they don't seem to match up with the other polls out there.
We then talk about Ohio State's convincing win against Indiana, and Michigan's convincing loss against Michigan State.
Following that, we very briefly discuss the poor week of Ohio pro football, before diving headfirst into even more Brett Favre talk...although this time, it has little to do with what he's done on the field.
Following that, we go into the week of MLB Playoffs that has passed (which means more bad news for Ohio sports fans...noticing a theme to the show?)
We wrap up the sports talk with a quick look at the first weekend of NHL regular season play.
And in a ScooterB and JJ On Sports first...we talk non-sports about the issue of text messaging while driving. Which we somehow bring back to Brett Favre, so I guess it is sports related after all.
Thanks for listening.

Week 37: That's Why They Play the Game
Welcome back folks for another exciting look at the week in sports.
This week we talk a lot of football with Ohio State and the NFL "Battle for Ohio."
We then break down the first round of the MLB playoffs.
We then go across the pond for a look back at an exciting Ryder Cup.
Also, we lace up the skates for a look at the upcoming Bluejackets series in Sweden.
A busy week with a lot going on! Thanks for listening.

Week 36: Blowout!
Welcome back everybody!
This week we discuss a load of blowouts across the Big 10 football landscape.
Then we talk some about some exciting NFL games, and how some division races are shaping up this early in the season.
We talk about how 3 feet led to $11 million for one golfer.
And we talk a little baseball, including Bud Selig's new proposal to expand the playoffs even further...which of course leads to a salary cap discussion (don't all baseball discussions end there?)
We thank you all for downloading and listening. If you enjoy the show, tell somebody about it! Spread the word!

Week 35: At least someone put up a fight...
*Important note*
Somewhere along the line tonight, a slight lag was introduced into the recording. We didn't have any lag during the show, but either Skype, or our recording program seems to have let a slight lag in. It doesn't affect the show much, but it is there. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Welcome back everybody!
This week we talk about a football game so one-sided, the only interesting part may have been the mascot fight before the game ever started.
We then go on to talk about a couple exciting games from this week in college football, including a play that may have even been too stressful for the coach.
At this point I must mention that JJ calls Michigan a 5-7 team. After predicting they start 5-0.
We then turn to the NFL, where we talk about a field goal fest win for the Bengals, a puzzlingly uninspired Brett Favre, and a rejuvenated Michael Vick.
We then go to the ice, and talk about the Bluejackets signing of goalie Steve Mason.
We then take a stab at the maple bat controversy in baseball. And we celebrate our Columbus Clippers' AAA championship.

Week 31: We're talking baseball...sort of.
Welcome back everybody!
This week, we spend a lot of time talking about a bunch of baseball stories, but few that actually deal with on the diamond issues. We discuss Roger Clemens' indictment, Lou Piniella's sudden retirement, a little at the end of the show about Stephen Strasburg...the next Mark Prior?, and we even discuss some good umpiring...in little league.
We round out the show with an obligatory Favre discussion. It's in the rules, trust us.
Don't forget to join our fantasy football league (details in post just below this), and we'll catch you all next week.

Week 26: Money Changes Everything
We are back again this week with a long discussion about the passing of Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, and his impact on the game of baseball. We then discuss one of the most insane contracts in the history of hockey...and how LeBron James may be to blame. We then discuss the continuing problems with college football players, and illegally gained money.
Fun show this week. Check us out on facebook at www.facebook.com/scooterbandjj . Also, please comment at the end of the post, or on the facebook page if you have any input.
Thanks for listening.
As a side note: something I didn't mention on the show, but didn't want to leave out. This past weekend, Columbus radio lost a legend with the passing of CD101's great DJ and all-around amazing guy Andyman. As someone who was a fan of his for nearly 19 years, I feel like I've lost a friend, even though I never met the guy in person. So much of the music that I listen to, and love, I discovered thanks to Andyman...and for that, I'll always be thankful.

Well folks, we're back with another fun episode of Scooterb and JJ On Sports. This week we focus on the NBA Free Agency period that has just begun. Which of course means a lot of LeBron talk. But we discuss our feelings on the fates of others stars as well.
We then discuss some odd choices with the Major League Baseball All-Star teams, and what we would do with the game, if we were in charge.
We hope you enjoy the show, as always.

Week 19: Boo to you
This week we have an absolutely packed show.
We start by previewing the Memorial, and we have a Scooterb and JJ on Sports first. An actual interview with PGA golfer Boo Weekley. Check it out, sounds like a very cool guy.
We then talk about the demolition derby that was the Indy 500, then the NBA and NHL playoffs.
Then we go over a positively bizarre week of freak accidents in Major League Baseball.
It was so bizarre, we completely forgot to mention that Roy Halladay threw a perfect game. Whoops. Congrats though, it was a truly masterful performance.
Thanks for listening, and check back this week to hear more from the Memorial.

Week 18: You're fired!
This week's show has up talking about the recent firing of Cavs coach Mike Brown, and who the next coach may be. We then talk about the NBA playoffs, the NHL playoffs, look at the burgeoning Phil Mickelson / Tiger Woods rivalry (finally, after 15 years).
The JJ goes on a rant about a boneheaded move by the Big Ten, and I try to blame the citizens of Columbus.
A couple things that we missed that I wanted to mention here:
First off, I shot 4 under par in the miniature golf tournament this week, finishing 5th. I had a great second round, but had some trouble spots the other two rounds. JJ came and played as well. He struggled a bit, but did quite well for his first tournament in a long time.
And second, condolences go out to the family of Jose Lima, who passed away a couple days ago, apparently of a heart attack. He was one of the more entertaining pitchers around, he seemed to be a great guy, and the baseball world is definitely going to miss "Lima time!"
That's it for this week. See you next time

Week 15: The heat is rising
Not only is Spring in full effect, but the NBA and NHL playoffs are beginning to heat up as well. We also talk about LeBron James' second straight MVP award, and his perceived place in the pantheon of great players.
We then discuss the use of tasers in baseball, no, not by the players to help them juice up...but by police on the fans.
After all that, we turn towards golf, and several big stories from the past week.
We also say goodbye to a true legend.
We hope you enjoy the show, plase leave us some comments either here or on the facebook group, and we'll see you next week!

Thinking Game 7 thoughts...
You know, I don't know what I enjoy more. Hockey playoff series that go to game seven, or watching a player I hate getting bounced. When both happen in the same day, it is amazing. Farewell, Ovechkin!!
By the way Alexander... breaking two sticks on shot attempts? A+ work there.
